St. Paul Prayer Shawl Ministry
We are continuing our ministry within our congregation, Prayer Shawls.
Shawls have been made for centuries. They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give
solace, mother, hug and beautify. We pray those who receive these shawls
will be uplifted and comforted.
Reaching those in need:
Can be given: When undergoing a medical procedure or treatment, To give
comfort after a loss, To a male or female, During an illness or recovery, As
a “comfort” at anytime (such as a nursing home resident)
The maker of the shawl begins with a prayer for the
recipient. The giver of the shawl should also say a prayer, which may be
more specific, for the recipient, before it is
presented.
It you’d like to give someone a Prayer Shawl, contact
the coordinator, Mary Ann Teubert. There are several shawls on hand. The
cost is $35.00.
If you wish to have a specific color, contact the
coordinator. She will explain the kind and amount of yarn you purchase. One
of the volunteers will stitch the shawl. This cost is $15.00
Any excess funds will be donated to LWML Mite Boxes.
The women who knit or crochet the Prayer Shawls are volunteers; they are not
paid. Volunteers are Annette Feltmann and Carol Klaustermier
Music for Infants and Preschoolers Class will meet each of the 4
Thursdays in February at 6:30-7:00 p.m. in the Music Room. It is a FREE
class! Invite a family to join us, and come enjoy a special time of
activities especially geared for infants through kindergarten children. Any
questions, call Jane Holasek.
Please remember to pull all doors shut tightly and turn off the
lights if you are the one locking up the church after an event, meeting,
etc. Thank you!
MEETING--The LWML will meet on Monday, February 6th at 7:00 pm . We
will have our annual Prayer Service. All members are asked to bring a
guest, and all woman of the congregation are invited to attend. Servers

LWML would like to invite all women to the 2012 Prayer Service. The
theme this year is "PRAYER" based on 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - Be joyful
always; pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is
God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Come and find out what "GOD'S BOX" is
and how it can help you be joyful always and give thanks in all
circumstances. See you on Monday,
February 6, at 7PM. Bring a friend.
Mission Grant - Crow Indians Ministries in Montana - $70,000.00
Mites help fund work done by Crow Lutheran Ministry. Rev. Dan Jacobs serves
many communities on the reservation by sharing the love of Jesus through
Bible studies, Sunday schools, youth programs and worship services with
Native Americans who are learning to trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
We pray for this mission - Creator God, Your people in the Crow nation have
been introduced to the truth of Jesus' love and salvation by the caring
ministry of Rev. Dan Jacobs. Financial shortages have threatened this
ministry. May this LWML grant support his work among the Crow people and
bless many more as they become Your children through the outreach programs
done in Montana, in Whose name we pray. Amen
SERVING GOD and OTHERS…
“Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you
know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether
he is slave or free.”
Our LWML leads our congregation with many opportunities
to use your time, talents, and treasures!
Circle one– Funeral and Kitchen
Circle 1 coordinates all funerals. The chairpersons arrange the wants and
needs of the families and the members help serve where needed. We are
responsible for cleaning the kitchen, taking care of repairs and making
improvements when needed. The kitchen may be used for outside functions,
just call the church Administrative Assistant and she will notify the circle
chairperson. At the present time we have 7 members in this circle, so our
work is easy and our fellowship is great.
How will YOU serve God? Consider joining with us
to serve God and others!
