The mission here at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran is to "Reach out and Share the Love of Christ Through Word and Service". It is only through our good and gracious God that we are able to do just that! We thank you for stopping by to check us out! May God bless your time with us today!

Dear members of St. Paul Lutheran congregation

As chairman of the congregation, I’d like to update you on our church’s response to the COVID19 virus situation at this time.

With the current information we have, we have decided to close the church building until further notice. However, we will maintain normal office hours with our staff who can be reached by phone or email. For spiritual guidance, counseling, or in the event of an emergency, face-to-face meetings will be arranged.

Materials such as Portals of Prayer, children’s bulletins, and other materials can be picked up by calling ahead, and the staff will place them outside. We will have the staff phone number posted on the outside of the church doors. We ask all people with keys to refrain from entering the building at this time.

In regard to services, we will continue to place them on our website, and are attempting to live-stream them also. This is the first Sunday that we have tried live-streaming, so please bear with us as we try to make this work.

Our online services for Holy week will be:

Maundy Thursday at 7 pm

Good Friday at noon

Easter Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

Future Sunday services will be broadcast at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday and all services will also be posted to the church’s website so they can be viewed at any time!

As of now, it has been determined that there is no safe way to administer communion.

For those of you who are viewing this, we encourage you to contact those in our congregation who are not online and let them know what is happening. Please encourage them to call the office with any ideas as to how to serve their needs during this difficult time.

Also with the extended outlook, we are cancelling the quarterly voters meeting scheduled for April 23rd. The entire council, working with the church staff, will continue to monitor the ever-changing situation, and will strive to keep you informed. At the present time, we envision being closed for the entire month of April. The council and staff ask for your continued prayers and support as we navigate this difficult situation.

Also, we ask you to remember that being shut down does not shut down the church’s expenses. We will continue to need the support of all of our members in every aspect of church life, including offerings. You can mail your offering to the church at post office Box 38, or please consider signing up for automated giving using our “online” giving option or through the Give+ Mobile App.  Directions for these are on the church’s website, or you can contact the church office for more information.

As we continue the mission statement of our church to reach out and share the love of Christ, please remember to encourage fellow members and friends, whether by phone calls, emails, and other social media so that the body of Christ can be lifted up.

Also remember the church is here as a resource for those struggling, and are able to direct people to other community resources for help.

Thank you. In closing, please be encouraged by Christ’s words in Romans 8:28:

“And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

Chairman, Fred Holasek
